BOX FEEDING SYSTEM
THE SYSTEM
The Box Filling System conveys the caps from the injection machine through a conveyor towards a cooling system. After the caps have been cooled, the cooling system discharges the caps onto the box filling station, which stores a full box quantity of caps in a hopper.
The hopper is equipped with a scale to count the caps and once it reaches the amount of caps needed to fill a complete box, it communicates with the AGV fleet manager and requests a new empty box. With the empty box in position, the storage hopper gate is opened to load the caps into the box.
FEATURES
- Pre Programable Cycle counter with Display.
- Sensors to place box in filling position.
- Alarm to announce when box is not in filling position.
- Delay start for part feeding conveyor.
- 100 lb capacity scale.
- Pre Programmable Weight counter with Display.
- Alarm to announce when box is not in filling position.
- Delay start for part feeding conveyor.
- Sensors to place box in filling position.
OPTIONAL
If added, the filling station can be equipped with a label printer to add on the box. The label can read the number of caps, batch number, dates and other information requested.
BI-LATERAL BOX FILLING
The Bilateral Box Filler provides an alternative for a more manual packaging of the caps. It has similar concept but the programming and mechanical functionality allows a more continuous filling process. The systems operates with the following components:
Control Panel & Weight Counter: To measure the amount of product being delivered to the box and control box position on the conveyor.
Belt Conveyor: To place an empty box under the injector’s out-feed once the prior one has been filled.
Roller Conveyor: To remove the full boxes from the injector’s out-feed and make room for empty boxes.
FEATURES
- Eco Quality Series Conveyor.
- 2.5” diameter, galvanized steel, Roller conveyor.
- 3” diameter locking swivel casters.
- Adjustable height.
- Simple weight to cycle counter change.
- Standard sizes that adjust to most injection machines.
